Our mission is to be and make disciples of Christ, in response to God's grace.

We live out this mission as we carry out our vision to Serve the Father, Proclaim the Son, and Be Alive with the Spirit.

Nearly 500 years ago, a man named Martin Luther challenged the Christian church of his day to re-center themselves in God's Life-Giving Word and to live daily in the gift of God's grace, that is, God's unconditional love for us in Christ. The teaching of Scripture is clear.

"For we hold that a person is justified by faith apart from works prescribed by the law" (Romans 3:28).

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8).

We love because we were first loved by God.

St. John's Lutheran Church is a congregation centered in the amazing grace of God, a grace that welcomes sinners and invites them to be transformed by God's love into faith-filled disciples of Jesus.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), is a vibrant, welcoming, active, grace-filled, and Christ-centered community of faith connecting with Christ, connecting with each other, and connecting with the world. Our St. John’s Lutheran Pre-school serves nearly 200 children each year, providing them with a quality education in a caring, Christian setting. Together with our preschool, we are a dynamic congregation in which families and individuals of all ages are encouraged to grow in their Christian faith together. With four worship services each weekend, featuring both traditional and contemporary styles of worship, and active outreach ministries in our own community and beyond, we are a Christian community of faith gathered around Word and Sacrament so that we might be sent into the world to serve in Christ’s name.

We invite you to come and be transformed by God's grace.  Come and experience Christ's love for you here at St. John's!
