Vacation Bible School
July 9-13, 9:00-11:30 a.m.
At this year’s Shipwrecked VBS, kids will learn how we are Rescued by God whenever we feel alone, whenever we worry, whenever we make a mistake, and whenever we struggle. Each day kids will rotate to Bible Discovery, Imagination Station, Ship Rec Games, and Snack with their crews. That Friday evening, we'll end with a family picnic celebration at 5:30 p.m. Register now for a week of adventure!
Children and Family Ministry believes that parents are the best faith teachers their children will ever have! St. John's is dedicated to partnering with and equipping parents and caregivers to inspire children to know God’s love and grace. We aim to teach, model, and share Jesus Christ with all children and their families through worship, study, prayer, and service. We are better when we do life together!
All our volunteers receive a background check and must complete our Safeguarding God's Children volunteer class. This class equips leaders and assistants in best practices for interacting with and ministering to your children. We want to provide your children with a safe, caring environment at all times.
A staffed nursery is available during all four weekend worship services for children ages four and younger. The Nursery is also available during the Wednesday Sprout! ministry and Thursday Choir rehearsals, as well as other special ministry events. The Nursery is located near the Parish Life Center Lobby across from the restrooms.
Garden Ministry & Dinners on the Lawn
At St. John's, we have the wonderful opportunity to nurture God's earth as we tend to our very own garden! We invite all families to help us water, weed, and harvest the garden after our Dinner on the Lawn picnics on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. No experience needed to help in the garden! We will teach you what you need to know. Picnics will begin at 6:00 p.m. each Wednesday through August 8. Bring a side dish or dessert to share!
Join us this summer for Family Kickball nights on the lawn! We will kick off at 5:30 p.m. and play until about 7:00 on the following Mondays: June 11 & 25, July 2, 16, & 30, and August 6.
These kickball nights are open to all ages, so bring your siblings and friends!
