This year’s LWR Ingathering is scheduled for October 31,2026. St. John’s Missions Team is once again collecting items to assemble Personal Care Kits during the months of October. 

Quilts and personal care kits are desperately needed, especially since the terrible wars in Ukraine and Iran as well as natural disasters like wildfires and floods in this country and other parts of the world. Lutheran World Relief is responding to the destruction caused by Hurricane Lala, supporting communities impacted by catastrophic flooding across the Midwest, and helping families recover after the earthquake in Colombia. Across the globe, children and parents are facing uncertainty, loss, and the daunting task of rebuilding their lives.

During times like this, when all hope is lost and the headlines have faded, YOU are your neighbors’ shining light. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR EACH KIT:

• ONE LIGHT-WEIGHT BATH-SIZE TOWEL, DARK COLOR PREFERRED 

• TWO OR THREE BATH-SIZE BARS OF SOAP IN ORIGINAL WRAPPING 

• ONE ADULT-SIZE TOOTHBRUSH IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING (PLEASE DO NOT BY MULTIPACKS)

• ONE STURDY COMB 

• ONE METAL NAIL CLIPPERS 

ITEMS CAN BE DROPPED OFF IN WELCOME CENTER OCTOBER 3-25!
