2024 Abraham Lincoln Pilgrimage

All four of our units were featured prominently in the Abraham Lincoln pilgrimage ceremonies this past weekend. I’ve included a few pictures. Several Pack38 cub scouts participated in the parade and Webelos scout Elsa Stewart carried the American flag in the parade for the Pack and was sought out by Alderwoman Lakeisha Purchase for a picture (also with Jadyn mentioned below) because she was one of very few girls standing at the front of the ceremony. She and Jadyn were also interviewed by a radio station. Also at the front of the ceremony were Troop 38 Eagle Scout Ali Higginson, who was part of the Eagle honor guard that led the parade and she also participated in the war memorial and Lincoln‘s tomb wreath laying.  Troop 38 Eagle Scout Jadyn Margaron gave the opening and closing prayer for the ceremony and participated in the Eagle Honor Guard. Troop 210 Eagle Scout Xavier Berg and Life Scout Mario Berg also participated in the Eagle honor guard and war memorial wreath laying ceremonies. Ali, Jadyn, Xavier & Mario are also members of Crew 2138.

On top of that, yesterday, both Troop 38 and Troop 210 had a number of scouts and adults who completed the 20 mile Lincoln Trail hike. It's been a great weekend to be a St. John's Scout!
